NaBloPoMo

Today is the first day of NaBloPoMo, National Blog Posting Month, where you're supposed to post to your blog every day. I tried this last year and failed miserably. This year I expect will be a bit more interesting.

I'm looking at hip replacement surgery on the 25th. I'm scared to death, for several reasons, primarily because I'm afraid of the inevitable pain, secondary is what if he screws it up? I'll never be able to walk without pain again. BUT I can't walk without pain anyway and if I go any longer without the surgery, I won't be able to walk at all. Yeahhh...not really option in my book.

Also, I'm facing a lay-off at work. Wheeeeeee!!! Now that's exciting! Can we live on one income, yes. Can we live like we have been on one income? Uh...NO! Can we buy a house on one income? Not the type of house that we should have. Sure, we can afford 1000 square feet on a 4000 square foot lot. Not really an option for us. It doesn't help that we live in an unbelievably expensive area.

I expect that most of my posts this month will be about one of these two topics. Sorry, not exactly titillating but it's my life.
